Options for accommodation:

The following possibilities for accommodations (welfare) are available to students.

Living together with a parent

For Kindergarten through Year 4, it is mandatory to choose a parent who will be traveling with the student on a guardian visa; for all following year levels, it is optional.

Live together with a close relative

Requesting approval from the Department of Home Affairs to designate a close relative as a caregiver. For Years 5-8, it is mandatory; for Years 9–12, it is optional.

Live with a distant relative or close family friend

Nominating a distant relative or close family friend as a career to be approved by the NSW Department of Education. Available for Years 9 and above only.

Live with a homestay family

Requesting a homestay placement is available for students in Years 9 and above only.

Academic credentials:

There are no forms of tests required for students up to class 5. Students who has successfully completed their senior year of secondary school (years 11 and 12) will face a viva test after they have applied to their desired school. This test is a qualification test recognized by all Australian universities, higher education, vocational education and training institutions, as well as many institutions abroad.
